Bunion Aid® is an award winning orthotic bunion splint that relieves bunion pain, corrects mild to moderate bunions while walking, and maintains surgical fixation during the post-surgical healing process. This breakthrough invention, by German scientist and orthopedists, includes a patented, thin-profiled hinged splint that allows for natural flexing action of the big toe, straightening it through the range of motion.

Bunion pain relief: Patients have witnessed a reduction in pain of the metatarsophalangeal joint within minutes of wearing Bunion Aid.

Correction of mild to moderate Hallux valgus: Clinical trials indicate pre-existing metatarsophalangeal angle of an average 38° is reduced to 18.5°, intermetatarsal angle of an average of 18° is reduced to 10.5°, and distal metatarsal articular angle improves from 32° to 12.5°.

Post-surgical fixation: Comparing postoperative use of Bunion Aid to a rigid night splint demonstrates a pronounced reduction of postoperative rehab-time and very good stabilization of the surgical correction of the toe’s position.

Correction of Hallux varus: Application of Bunion Aid soon after surgery places pressure against the Hallux varus helping it to realign with the big toe joint while supporting the metatarsal arches.

Night-time care: Wearing this flexible hinged splint allows natural flexing of the big toe joint at night so it does not interfere with a good night’s sleep.

Limited inventory: one size fits most, wear on right or left foot

Features of Bunion Aid bunion splint:
• anatomically curved metatarsal and toe straps provide comfort and fit
• adjustable toe strapping system aligns big toe and maintains surgical fixation
• dual strapping system stabilizes the mid-foot arch
• padded hinged splint protects irritated tissue and absorbs pressure
• adjustable metatarsal pad relieves pain of toe joints, optimizing pressure distribution
